On Monday, April 8th, Dr. Vivien Otu, the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, joined Her Excellency Rev. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the Wife of the Governor, for the launch of the Free Medical Outreach at the General Hospital in Akamkpa, Akamkpa Local Government Area.
During an interview with journalists at the outreach event, she praised Rev. Eyoanwan Otu for exemplifying compassion and steadfast dedication to serving humanity.
Encouraging residents of the host Local Government Area and all Cross Riverians to embrace the humanitarian initiatives of the Governor’s wife, she emphasized the aim of her outreach services: enhancing access to quality healthcare in Cross River State, aligning with Governor Otu’s “People First” mantra and President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
The Free Medical Outreach 3.0, held as part of the Diamond Jubilee Birthday Celebration of the First Lady of Cross River State, had in attendance House of Assembly members representing Akamkpa I & II, namely Hon. Okon Owuna and Hon. Linus Etim,
along with Commissioner for Health, Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk, traditional rulers and other distinguished dignitaries.
