Recall that the former Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly was impeached recently for various serious grounds, including allegations of gross financial misconduct, total failure to convene leadership meetings, incompetence and wrong conduct of plenary proceedings. Additionally, it was found that the former Speaker failed to adhere to the Cross River State legislature funds management law 2021.
