The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq. JP, has felicitated with Cross River State children and others across the country, emphasizing that their safety and quality upbringing is non-negotiable.
In his goodwill message to commemorate the 2024 Children’s Day, Eba noted that the day presents an opportunity to celebrate the young ones and consider their important place in the nation’s heart. He stressed that no Cross River child should go to bed hungry, and due attention must be paid to their health, safety, growth and development to make the state stronger.
Eba reiterated, “This day is a call to rededicate ourselves to the cause of children. We must ensure they are protected, empowered, and enabled to aspire to greatness in life, removing all impediments in their way.”
He emphasized that children are the leaders of tomorrow and the hope for a better future, and investing in their well-being is crucial. Eba urged everyone to commit to the welfare and development of children, teaching them to shun social vices, work hard, and exhibit good morals.
He expressed concern over issues like violence against children, child molestation, child labor, and other evils, pledging his continued commitment to contributing to the development and success of the young generation.
