President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Community Engagement (South South) has honoured the State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State, Alphonsus Ogar Eba esq, JP with the Political Leadership Excellence Award.
Eba, received the award in Wednesday in Abuja during the Road to South South programme organised by the office of the SSA to the President on Community Engagement South South, Hon Gift Johnbull, with theme, The National Convergence for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was ably represented by the Minister of Regional Development, Mr Abubakar Momoh.
The foremost political evangelist was honoured in recognition of his outstanding political leadership and contributions to the growth of and development of South-South communities.
Eba, who doubled as the Secretary of Forum of APC State Chairmen commended the SSA for the laudable initiative, just as a project tagged Earn from the Soil was launched with a N10 billion Agriculture Trust Fund.
With the state chairman are his Akwa Ibom State counterpart, Mr Stephen Ntukekpo, former State House of Assembly member, Rt Hon Regina Anyogo, former Cross River State Commissioner for Industry, Hon Peter Egba, and former SSA Works, Hon John Odey .
The event which attracted notable personalities from all works of life, including the former Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III amongst others.
The high point of the award was the humor brought in when the former State Governor H.E. Donald Duke drew some banters on the failed attempt to unseat the state chairman early this year .
This goes to show how attentive opposition leaders in the state follow the happenings in APC
