As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate Father’s Day, the Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has extended heartfelt greetings to all fathers and father-figures, recognizing their immense contributions to family and society.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Chairman applauded the resilience, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication of fathers who continue to uphold their responsibilities despite the growing challenges of modern-day parenting.
“To all devoted fathers and father-figures who continue to hold the fort, despite the many responsibilities and challenges that come with fatherhood, I extend my deepest gratitude,” he said.
Undiandeye noted that Father’s Day is a special opportunity to acknowledge not only biological fathers but also those who step in as father-figures, providing love, protection, guidance, and stability in the lives of many.
“Today, we honour and celebrate your unwavering commitment, your sacrifices, and the vital roles you play in shaping homes, communities, and society at large,” the statement continued.
He paid special tribute to fathers within his constituency and the wider Cross River State, describing them as pillars of strength whose leadership and values help to nurture a better future.
“A special salute to my fellow fathers in Obudu and across Cross River State. Your strength and dedication inspire us all,” he added.
Concluding his message, Undiandeye prayed for continued blessings and divine rewards for all fathers, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their noble role.
“May God bless and richly reward every one of us,” he said.
