The Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Cross River State on New Media, Comrade Owai Obo, has congratulated the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on its successful 25th anniversary celebrations, applauding the commission’s developmental strides in the region.
The anniversary grand finale, held July 12 at Port Harcourt’s Obi Wali International Conference Centre, brought together key stakeholders to celebrate NDDC’s quarter-century of service to the Niger Delta region.
In an official statement, Comrade Obo highlighted NDDC’s significant contributions to Cross River State, particularly noting the ongoing construction of the Internal Road Network in Adim, Development of the Cottage Hospital in Adim and over 200 road projects either completed or currently underway across the state
The New Media aide praised NDDC’s Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for his leadership in driving the commission’s Renewed Hope Agenda and enhancing collaborative efforts with state governments.
The anniversary event under the theme “25 Years of Making a Difference” attracted prominent personalities including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Serving governors from Niger Delta states
Comrade Obo recognized the Cross River State delegation led by Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, which included Chief of Staff Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Hon. Engr. Francis Ogban (Biase Constituency), Hon. Engr. Thomas Aruku (Ogoja Constituency) and Other top government officials
Reaffirming Cross River State’s commitment to the partnership, Obo emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with NDDC to fast-track infrastructure development and human capacity building initiatives across the state.
