The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb), Peter Undiandeye, KSM, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Francisca Bassey on her appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), describing her appointment by the Governor, Apostle Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu as a well-deserved recognition of her academic distinction and administrative competence which aligns with the ‘People First’ mantra.
In a statement issued to the press on Thursday, the Obudu Council boss expressed delight over the Governor’s choice, noting that the appointment reflects a clear commitment to merit, equity, and excellence in the state’s education sector.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Obudu Local Government Area, I warmly congratulate Professor Francisca Bassey on her historic appointment as the Vice Chancellor of UNICROSS. Her wealth of experience, academic pedigree, and leadership qualities make her a perfect fit for the position,” Undiandeye stated.
The Obudu helmsman also used the opportunity to commend the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, for what he termed a “bold and visionary” decision in approving Prof. Bassey’s appointment as substantive Vice Chancellor after serving in acting capacity.
