The Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb.) Peter Undiandeye, has lauded the wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Her Excellency Bishop (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for her steadfast commitment to the welfare and empowerment of Obudu people.

The commendation was conveyed on Sunday at the Obudu German Hospital by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Rhoda Ashong, who represented the Chairman during an empowerment exercise for 300 staff of the Obudu Urban Development Authority (BUDA).
Hon. Ashong, in her goodwill message, expressed deep gratitude to the Governor’s wife, recalling her consistent interventions in the community.
“If I’m not mistaken, this is your third visit to Obudu. You have brought free medical outreach with qualified doctors, and today you are here again with empowerment for our mothers. May God bless you and your administration,” she said.
In her address, Bishop (Mrs.) Otu reassured BUDA workers of her office’s determination to offset their outstanding stipends, while reiterating her passion for grassroots development. She pledged sustained efforts to strengthen local communities and enhance the capacity of workers to deliver effectively.

The Governor’s wife presented bags of rice, wrappers, POS terminals, and start-up funds to beneficiaries, a gesture that drew applause from stakeholders and community members, who hailed her as a dependable partner in Obudu’s progress.
