The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has congratulated the newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, as well as the State Representative, Engr. Ben Akak, who emerged as Deputy National Treasurer, following the successful conclusion of the party’s national convention.
Dr. Undiandeye delivered his congratulatory message while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the colourful ceremony, describing the emergence of the new national leadership as a reflection of internal democracy and unity within the party.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of Professor Yilwatda and other newly elected national officers to reposition the APC for greater effectiveness, noting that their wealth of experience would strengthen the party’s structure across the country.
The council chairman also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, members of the convention organizing committee, delegates, and other party stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful and successful exercise.
According to him, the smooth conduct of the convention, held on Friday at Eagle Square, Abuja, demonstrates the party’s commitment to democratic principles and collective progress of our nation.
He further urged party members, particularly in Obudu Local Government Area to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC, emphasizing the need for sustained collaboration in advancing good governance and development at all levels.
