The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Peter A. Undiandeye, KSM, has congratulated the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, on his overwhelming reaffirmation as the sole governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a congratulatory message released on Friday, Dr. Undiandeye described Governor Otu’s endorsement by party faithfuls, stakeholders, and loyalists across the 196 wards of the state as a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust the people have in his purposeful leadership, inclusive governance style, and unwavering commitment to the development of Cross River State under the People First Agenda.
The Obudu Council Chairman also congratulated Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe on his emergence as the APC flag bearer for the Northern Senatorial District, Hon. Peter Akpanke on his successful emergence as the party’s candidate for the Obanliku/Bekwarra/Obudu Federal Constituency, and Hon. Sylvester Agabi on emerging as the APC flag bearer for the Obudu State Constituency in the recently concluded primary elections.
According to him, the victories recorded by the candidates at the party primaries were well deserved and reflective of the trust and confidence reposed in them by the people due to their leadership qualities, commitment, and capacity to deliver quality representation.
Dr. Undiandeye further commended the APC for conducting a peaceful and successful primary election process, noting that the exercise once again demonstrated the unity, strength, and maturity of the ruling party in Cross River State.
He expressed confidence that the emergence of the candidates would inspire hope, deepen development, and strengthen the confidence of the people in the APC ahead of the general elections.
The council chairman also praised the leadership of the party at both the national and state levels under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu for fostering peace, inclusiveness, and internal democracy throughout the primary process.
He equally appreciated officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their professionalism and commitment in ensuring a peaceful, credible, and orderly exercise.
Calling for unity among party faithfuls and supporters, Dr. Undiandeye urged APC stakeholders, youths, women groups, and loyalists to remain focused and committed to the collective success of the party as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
“ This is a moment for reconciliation, renewed dedication, and teamwork as we prepare for victory at the polls in 2027,” he stated.
He concluded by wishing the victorious candidates and Governor Otu wisdom, strength, and success in the journey ahead.
