The Chairman/CEO of Opal Group and a Cross River State critical stakeholder of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), High Chief Higgins Peters on Saturday performed the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Graduate School Lecture Hall, University of Calabar, Cross River State.
High Chief Higgins Peters, who was the Chairman and Chief launcher of the occasion of the laying of foundation stone for the Graduate School Lecture Hall organised by Graduate School Students Association of UNICAL, supported the project with N1 million and pledged his continued support for the completion of the project in good time.
This is just as the highly respected High Chief Higgins Peters, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Chris Ogar, was honoured with an Excellent Leadership Award by the Association in appreciations of his outstanding roles and unquantifiable contributions to national development, in a ceremony held at Transcorp Hotel Calabar.
The award was present to High Chief representative by the Vice Chancellor of UNICAL, Prof. Florence Banku Obi on behalf of the Graduate School and her students to appreciate High Chief Higgins for his contributions to the development of humanity and His leadership qualities.
High Chief Peters through his Chief of staff, Hon Chris Ogar who represented him, assured the Graduate School of the his commitment to see that the project is completed on time. He, therefore requested that the BOQ and drawing of the project be forwarded to him for immediate action.
The event was well attended by Vice Chancellor and the entire University management, Hon Okon Owuna member representing Akamkpa State Constituency in the House of Assembly and other dignitaries of university alumni.
