Cross River Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey participated in a Novelty Football Match (Calabar Festival Novelty Match) between the State Executive Arm and Permanent Secretaries/Directors at the main bowl of the U. J. Esuene stadium, Calabar on Monday 4th December, 2023.
The Deputy Governor captained the State Executive Team that fielded great players like the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Special Adviser (Special Duties) to the Governor, Akiba Ekpenyong, Esq, Director General, Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau, Hon. Charles Atu and Members of the State Executive Council.
The intriguing match which was kick-off by the ‘People First’ Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, ended in a 1-0 scoreline in favour of the State Executive Team.
