The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Peter Undiandeye, KSM, has described the massive turnout at the 1.5 million-man mega endorsement rally held at the Ikom Township Stadium as a strong indication of the confidence reposed in the leadership of the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the people of the state.

Undiandeye, who served as Chairman of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the rally organized by the Prince is Coming Movement, made this known while speaking to journalists shortly after the event. He noted that the large turnout of party faithful and supporters reflected widespread approval of the policies and achievements recorded by both the state and federal administrations.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has laid a solid foundation for economic growth, national stability, and infrastructural development, while Governor Otu has continued to deliver people-oriented governance, extending development to the grassroots and improving the socioeconomic well-being of citizens across the state.
He stressed that the endorsement of President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Otu, and his deputy, Peter Odey, was a deliberate and collective decision rooted in visible performance, purposeful leadership, and the need to sustain ongoing developmental strides. He therefore called on party members and supporters to remain united and committed to ensuring victory ahead of the 2027 elections.

The CPC Chairman further urged residents and party faithful to sustain their support, emphasizing that continued progress depends on strong collaboration between the government and the people, particularly as the political landscape gradually shifts toward the 2027 general elections.
During his vote of thanks, Undiandeye commended the Chief of Staff to the Governor and Director of the organisation, Hon. Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Ironbar, for his unwavering support, loyalty to the Governor and for initiating the Prince is Coming Movement. He described the group as a strategic platform for grassroots mobilization and inclusive political participation. He also expressed gratitude to stakeholders, party leaders, and supporters across the state for their commitment, which contributed to the success and vibrancy of the rally.

The event was graced by the Governor Otu, who was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Elvert Ayambem, State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Amb. Soni Abang, State Chairman of APC, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta, alongside members of the National and State Assemblies, party leaders at various levels, and numerous support groups.
