The Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Amb. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye(KSM), has called on residents of the area to embrace love, unity, and mutual support as they celebrate Valentine’s Day.
In a heartfelt message to the people of Obudu, the Chairman emphasized that the essence of Valentine’s Day goes beyond romantic relationships, highlighting the need for compassion, peace, and community development.
“This day reminds us of the power of love, not just in our personal relationships but in our interactions with one another as a people. Love promotes peace, unity, and progress, and as we celebrate, let us extend kindness to our neighbours, care for the less privileged, and work together for a better Obudu,” he said.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people, urging everyone to uphold the values of love and service in line with the People First agenda of Governor Bassey Otu.
He urged the people of Obudu to use the occasion to strengthen bonds, forgive past grievances, and promote harmony across the LGA.
Wishing everyone a joyful and love-filled celebration, he encouraged them to reflect on the true meaning of Valentine’s Day, selflessness, generosity, and unity.
