In response to the collapse of a culvert in Ubang, Nkiro village, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the challenges faced by residents of Ubang and surrounding communities by initiating the reconstruction of the culvert, emphasizing its vital importance.
Yesterday, the Chairman paid an unannounced visit to the project site to evaluate the progress of the reconstruction and to ascertain that the materials being used meet the required standards, ensuring the project’s durability once completed.
Accompanied by his supervisor for works, his finance counterpart, and other council appointees, the Chairman conducted a thorough inspection of the site.
During the visit, he expressed satisfaction with the level of work accomplished and reassured residents of the timely completion of the project.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people, in line with Governor Bassey Otu’s “People First” mantra, which focuses on improving the lives of residents.
It will be recalled that the Council Boss recently inspected ongoing road construction at Bekpam New Layout, as well as other projects within the local government area, underscoring his administration’s proactive approach to infrastructure development.
