Dear Alumni, Friends and Stakeholders of the University,

On behalf of the Governing Council and the Management of the University of Calabar, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your role and presence in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary and 37th Convocation Ceremonies of our beloved University.

We specially appreciate the lead Ambassador of Unical @ 50, HE Sen. (Dr) Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and the distinguished Senators and other dignitaries that accompanied him. In the same spirit, we joyfully thank and commend the 50th anniversary/37th Convocation Lecturer, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, CON, and his associates who graced the ceremonies. We remain grateful to HE Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State and his Deputy, Rt. Hon Peter Odey, PhD for all the support.

Our profound gratitude is extended to:
Dr ABC Orjiakor, Hon Justice Okon Abang and his colleagues, all the Service Chiefs, our Royal Fathers, Religious leaders and all distinguished men and women who honored us with their presence.

The Honorary Doctorate awardees – HE Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio, HE Nyesom Wike, Hon Justice Emmanuel Agim, JSC, and General Moses Bisong Obi are congratulated and welcomed to the Malabites family.

We thank all Ambassadors of Unical @ 50, all faces of Unical @ 50, all Distinguished Friends of Unical @ 50, members of the University Senate, Alumni Executive and members, Staff and Students of Unical and everyone who made it to the heroic celebrations.

Your presence made the event truly special, memorable and inspiring. We are glad that we came together to honour our shared achievements and calebrate 50 years of impactful knowledge and service to humanity.

Your engagements and enthusiasm were very vibrant and truly reflective of the malabitic spirit of solidarity, resilience and excellence, which defines our University.

We acknowedge your exemplary support and commitment to the growth and developmet of our institution. Together we will continue to ensure that our University counts among the best in the comity of world universities.

Thank you once again for being part of this Golden Jubilee celebration and raising the flag of UNICAL higher.
