Leader of the Obudu Legislative Assembly and Chairman of the Leaders’ Forum in Cross River State, Hon. Eneji Sam Ashibi, has felicitated with Nigerians as the nation marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Ashibi congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for steering the affairs of the country at a crucial moment and applauded Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, for his people-centered leadership, which he said has rekindled hope among citizens.

He also commended the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, for his steadfast support to the Governor; the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly for his purposeful leadership; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar, for his diligence in driving government policies; as well as the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. (Amb.) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, and his colleagues for promoting and sustaining the Governor’s People First mantra of the Governor.
Ashibi described Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary as a period of sober reflection and renewed commitment to building a united, prosperous, and peaceful nation. He urged citizens across all levels to support their leaders in advancing reforms and strengthening democratic values.
Reaffirming the commitment of the Leaders’ Forum to fostering unity and development in Cross River State, Hon. Ashibi expressed optimism that Nigeria’s greatest years are still ahead.
