The former Director General of the Cross River State Environmental Protection Agency and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the Abon Abang Foundation Initiative, Engr. Dr. George Ndifon Abang, has congratulated the newly inaugurated Ward Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State.
In a congratulatory message following their inauguration at the Etung Local Government Council Secretariat in Effraya on Wednesday, Dr. Abang described their emergence and subsequent inauguration as a significant step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and consolidating its support base ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He commended the leadership of the party in Etung Local Government Area, led by the Chapter Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Ndum, for the successful inauguration and expressed confidence in the capacity of the new ward executives to provide purposeful leadership and deepen the party’s presence across the wards in the local government area.
Dr. Abang urged the ward leaders to see their emergence as a call to service, encouraging them to promote unity among party members, expand the party’s membership base, and sustain effective grassroots mobilization in their respective wards.
According to him, strong ward structures remain the backbone of every successful political party, stressing that the dedication and commitment of ward executives will play a vital role in positioning the APC for continued electoral success.
He further advised the new executives to work closely with the Chapter Chairman, his executive committee, other leaders, stakeholders, and party faithful to build a cohesive and formidable party structure capable of delivering victory for the APC in future elections.
Dr. Abang also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting ideologies and initiatives that promote grassroots development, unity, and the growth of the APC in Etung and across Cross River State.
He wished the newly inaugurated ward executives a successful and impactful tenure as they work to advance the ideals and objectives of the party in the area.
