The former Director General of the Cross River State Environmental Protection Agency (CRSEPA), Engr. Dr. George Ndifon Abang, has commended the State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, for his proactive and inclusive leadership style which he says was instrumental to the successful conduct of the recent state congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, Engr. Dr. Abang praised the Governor for ensuring a smooth and hitch-free exercise, stating that it highlights the party’s unity and expanding momentum within the state. He noted that the peaceful outcome of the congress demonstrates the Governor’s commitment to due process and his ability to harmonize diverse interests within the party structure.

In the same vein, Engr. Dr. Abang congratulated the newly elected State Chairman of the party, Hon. Christopher Etta, along with other members of the newly inaugurated State Working Committee. He expressed confidence in the capacity of the new leadership to steer the affairs of the party effectively.

He highlighted Hon. Etta’s background as a former lawmaker, expressing optimism that the new Chairman will leverage his legislative experience and wealth of political acumen to foster grassroots participation and inclusiveness within the party.

Engr. Dr. Abang, who is also the pioneer Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ikom Chapter, used the opportunity to call on all party faithful, stakeholders, and the good people of Cross River State to rally behind the Hon. Etta-led exco..

He urged them to provide the necessary support and cooperation required to further deepen the democratic process and strengthen the APC’s position in the state, ensuring that the party remains the vehicle for sustainable development and good governance.
