The Member representing Biase State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly and APC flag bearer for the constituency, Hon. Engr. Francis Onette Ogban, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Apostle Dr. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and political leaders in Biase Local Government Area for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and widely accepted consensus process that led to his emergence as the party’s candidate.
In a statement made available to journalists, Hon. Ogban described Governor Otu as a visionary leader whose wisdom, fatherly guidance, and commitment to peace continue to promote unity and stability within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.

According to him, the consensus arrangement that produced him as the APC flag bearer for Biase State Constituency reflected the Governor’s dedication to fairness, collective progress, and inclusive leadership.
“Your leadership once again proved that true power is best expressed through unity, fairness, and the ability to place collective progress above personal interests,” Ogban stated.
The lawmaker also extended heartfelt appreciation to prominent political leaders and stakeholders in Biase, including former Deputy Governor, Prof. Ivara Esu; Rt. Hon. Alex Ukam; Hon. Edodi Eyong; Hon. Barr. Ijom Ukam; Hon. Charles Atu; Elder Ogban Ekpei; and Onun Dr. Offu Aya, alongside ward leaders, elders, party executives, and critical stakeholders across the local government area.
He commended their sacrifices, counsel, and commitment to peace, noting that their collective wisdom has continued to strengthen the political family in Biase and promote unity within the APC.
Ogban further appreciated the APC chapter chairman, ward chairmen, and party executives for their dedication and support throughout the process.
Describing his emergence as a collective victory, the lawmaker stressed that the success belongs to every loyal party member, supporter, youth, woman, and stakeholder who believes in the future and development of Biase.
“This victory is not personal; it belongs to every loyal party member, every supporter, every youth, every woman, and every stakeholder who believes in the future of Biase,” he said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working with party leaders and stakeholders to advance the progress of Biase Local Government Area, strengthen the APC, and support the continued development of Cross River State under the leadership of Governor Bassey Otu.
Hon. Ogban also called for sustained unity among party faithful as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.
