“BUILDING BRIDGES: CROSS RIVER STATE’S SPECIAL ADVISER ON COMMUNITY RELATIONS HON. CHIEF ADA CHARLES INTERFACE WITH CROs ACROSS THE STATE

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Community Relations, Hon Chief Ada Charles, Yesterday Tuesday 14th May 2024, convened an inaugural meeting with Community Relations Officers (CROs) from various Local governments across the constituency. The meeting, held at her temporary office in Calabar, was aimed at fostering a stronger relationship between the government and grassroots communities.

Hon, Chief Ada Charles, Congratulated the newly appointed CROs Charging them to uphold the and strengthen the Vision of the Governor His Excellency Sen Prince Edet Otu, she further emphasized the importance of community engagement in governance, highlighting the need for effective communication and collaboration to address the challenges facing the communities. She expressed her commitment to working closely with the CROs to ensure that the government’s policies and programs are effectively implemented at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, the CROs were encouraged to serve as liaisons between their communities and the government, ensuring that the needs and concerns of the people are effectively communicated and addressed. Hon. Chief Ada Charles, also outlined plans to organize training programs for the CROs to enhance their capacity in community mobilization and development.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the CROs expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with the government. They pledged their support to work diligently in their respective Local governments to promote peace, development, and good governance.

Overall, the inaugural meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue and collaboration between the government and grassroots communities, setting the stage for a more inclusive and participatory approach to governance in Cross River State.
