The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has strongly condemned the tragic attack on innocent residents of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday , Professor Yilwatda described the incident as “tragic and senseless,” noting that the barbaric act led to the loss of precious lives and left many families in deep sorrow.
Reports on Monday indicated that the attack prompted the imposition of a 48-hour curfew in Jos North, with the police confirming multiple deaths and several injuries.

The APC National Chairman expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, praying that God grants them strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed souls.
Yilwatda further stated that he stands in solidarity with the people of Angwan Rukuba and all residents of Jos North during this difficult time, while offering prayers for the injured and those affected by the incident.
He reassured Nigerians that the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains committed to tackling insecurity, including banditry, terrorism, and other forms of criminality across the country.
