The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Bassey Sunday, has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the party following the just-concluded National Convention held at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Friday.
In a statement issued shortly after the convention, Rt. Hon. Sunday lauded the emergence of Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman and Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary, describing their election as a reflection of the party’s commitment to competence and internal democracy.
He also expressed particular delight over the emergence of Cross River State’s representative, Engr. Ben Akak, as Deputy National Treasurer, noting that his election is well-deserving.

The Biase APC Chairman stated that the new leadership team possesses the experience and capacity required to reposition the party ahead of future electoral engagements while consolidating its achievements at both national and subnational levels.
Rt. Hon. Sunday further commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing exemplary leadership and ensuring a smooth and successful convention. He equally praised the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for his role as Chairman of the Convention’s Protocol Subcommittee, describing his contribution as pivotal to the seamless organization of the event. He noted that the governor has shown leadership in the state and South-South geopolitical zone, recalling that Cross River State was the only APC-controlled state in the region, but his leadership in various national assignments has led the entire zone to the APC.

He urged party members across Biase Local Government Area and the state at large to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC, emphasizing that collective effort and loyalty will be crucial in sustaining the party’s dominance and delivering good governance to the people.
