CALABAR CARNIVAL 2023

The Cross River State Government has officially announced the schedule for the 2023 Carnival , as disclosed in a press release by Austin Cobham, the Executive Secretary of the State Carnival Commission.

The inaugural dry run took place on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, along the designated carnival routes. Subsequently, the second dry run took place on November 12th, 2023 which is to be  followed by the third dry run on December 10th, 2023. Additionally, a special children’s dry run is slated for December 17th, 2023. All dry run events are set to commence at 1:30 p.m.

In light of these dates, the public, especially churches and event planners, are urged to take note and adjust their schedules accordingly. It is important to be mindful of the partial closures and openings of routes throughout the carnival proceedings.
