Former chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Biase Local Government Council, Deacon Andy Owai, has congratulated Mr. Edodi Eyong on his emergence as the preferred consensus chairmanship candidate for the party in the local government.
In his congratulatory message, Owai stated that Eyong’s emergence is a testament to the Cross River State APC’s commitment to fostering internal party democracy.
Owai, who welcomed the outcome of the APC’s ingenious consensus process, praised Governor Bassey Otu and the APC State Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, for their patriotic zeal, wisdom, and decisive leadership in resolving the chairmanship challenges in Biase Local Government Area and across the state. He stressed that the party’s survival and unbreakable unity are of utmost importance to him.
He further highlighted that the decision of the party’s leadership, led by the ‘People First’ Governor, is sacrosanct, as they, along with other key stakeholders, have a deep understanding of the party’s internal dynamics and state-wide issues.
The oil magnate, Owai pledged his full support for the party’s candidate and committed to working with all stakeholders to secure victory in the upcoming November 2nd Local Government elections.
He also called on party members, his supporters, and other aspirants to back the consensus candidate, emphasizing the need for unity and determination to advance the party’s progress.
