The Center for Community Policy and Strategic Development (CCPSD) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Cross River State on the celebration of this year’s Democracy Day.
In a goodwill message released on behalf of the organization, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, Executive Secretary of CCPSD, praised the enduring democratic spirit of the people and commended the state’s leadership for its transformative governance.
“We extend our warmest congratulations to the people of Cross River State on this momentous Democracy Day celebration,” the statement read.
Special recognition was given to the state’s Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, for their “tireless efforts in shaping the future of our great state.”
CCPSD also lauded the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Chief Felix Victor Idem, for his pivotal role in reforming and advancing the local government system in the state.
“Through innovative reforms, capacity building, and administrative development, Chief Idem has revolutionized local governance,” the statement noted. “The remarkable achievements of the Senator Bassey Otu-led administration have raised the bar for local government systems, making Cross River State a beacon of excellence.”
Rt. Hon. Lebo concluded the message with well wishes for the continued prosperity of the state under its current leadership.
