The Director-General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr. Vivien Mesembe Otu, has disowned a political report circulating on social media, describing it as false, misleading, and mischievous.
The publication, titled “The African Democratic Congress Cross River State Chapter Gains Momentum as Many Local Government Areas Embrace the ‘Arise and Shine Agenda’,” was posted on the “Cross River State Youths” Facebook page by a group identified as the Political Right Mind Movement Cross River State.

Dr. Otu cautioned that photographs used in the report were illegally obtained and misrepresented. She explained that the images were taken during a thanksgiving and medical outreach in Etung Local Government Area, organized to mark the two-year anniversary of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk.
She clarified that her attendance at the thanksgiving was purely personal and non-political, stressing that neither her office nor the CRSPHCDA has any affiliation with the African Democratic Congress or its agenda.

Condemning the unauthorized use of her photographs, Dr. Otu described the attempt to drag the agency into partisan politics as “unacceptable and mischievous.”
The CRSPHCDA therefore urged the public to disregard the false narrative and remain vigilant against misinformation, while relying only on official sources for accurate information.
