The State House member representing Akamkpa 1 Constituency, CRS, hails the wife of the Governor, Rev. Eyoanwan Otu, for the free medical outreach in the southern senatorial district that held in his constituency which started on Monday, April 8, 2024 and ended Friday, April 12, 2024.
He noted that over 200 surgeries has been carried out, many eye cases treated and corrective glasses issued, and over 600 minor ailments handled in the course of this outreach.
He expressed sincere gratitude to the wife of the governor and urged the state government to encourage the office of the First Lady and make this medical outreach a policy backed up by legislation, programmed to rotate through the three senatorial districts of the state, with an extended period of at least one month, instead of one week, to enable more people benefit from the benevolence and magnanimous disposition of Her Excellency.
He expressed much gratitude, as well as the goodwill prayers and allegiance of continuous support of his constituents to the ‘People First’ Governor and his dear Wife for their kind gestures and thoughtfulness towards the wellbeing of her people especially his constituents.
Speaking further, he appreciated the medical team who worked tirelessly for the success of this program and prays for their safe trip back to their various destinations.
Beneficiaries who spoke, thanked the house member for his collaborative efforts in hiring five buses to transport patients free of charge from their various villages to the venue of the free medical outreach.
They prayed for God’s blessings upon him always and assured him of their continued support to the Sen. Prince Bassey Otu-led administration aimed at impacting the lives of electorates.
The free Medical Outreach is part of activities marking the diamond jubilee celebration of the First Lady of Cross River State.
