In a fresh demonstration of his commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots sports development, the Chief Executive Officer of the Onyinabuo Nkpeh Foundation and Special Adviser on Power to the Cross River State Governor, Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpeh, has donated complete sports kits to Bekwarra United Football Club, who have advanced to the finals of the 2025 Cross River State Governor’s Cup.

The donation-comprising branded jerseys and match balls- was formally presented to the team ahead of their semi-final fixture by a delegation led by Dr. Samuel Odey. Other members of the delegation included Dr. Stephen Akpa, Dr. Prince Agbor, Dr. Victor Ede, Mrs. Ann Ushie, Mr. Bartholomew Ushie, and Mr. Paul Abua as well as Engr. Joel Agbaragba, Dr Pius Akah.
The presentation event, held at the Abraham Ordia Stadium of the University of Calabar, drew loud cheers from players, technical crew, and supporters who described the gesture as timely and uplifting.
Engr Emmanuel’s representative reiterates his commitment to supporting sporting activities in the LGA which according to him aligns with Governor Bassey Otu People First Agenda and Renewed Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

Receiving the kits, the head coach of Bekwarra United expressed deep appreciation, calling the donation “a massive morale booster coming at the most important moment of our campaign.”
Engr. Nkpeh, widely respected across Bekwarra and the state at large, has continued to attract accolades for his sustained contributions to human and community development through the Onyinabuo Nkpeh Foundation and his public service. His footprint spans education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and now sports development.

This latest intervention reflects his long-held belief that sports serve as a powerful tool for youth engagement, discipline, and community unity. Residents describe him as a leader who believes that “no sector of human development is too small to deserve attention.”
As Bekwarra United prepares for the Governor’s Cup finals-carrying the hopes and pride of their local government-the team does so strengthened by the visible support and encouragement of one of their most distinguished sons, Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpeh.
