The Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb) Peter Undiandeye, KSM, joined other top government dignitaries on Sunday at a thanksgiving service in honor of the Obanliku Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Sunny Ayang.
The event, which took place at the Assemblies of God Church, Buya-Bishiri South, in Obanliku LGA, was a moment of gratitude and celebration, expressing deep appreciation to God for Hon. Ayang’s life, successful election, and subsequent inauguration as Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area.
Among the dignitaries present were the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, local government chairmen, political stakeholders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and members of the Obanliku community, who gathered to witness and share in the joy of the occasion.
Speaking at the service, Hon. Sunny Ayang attributed his success to divine providence, thanking God for guiding him through the electoral process and his assumption of office. He also expressed gratitude to Governor Bassey Otu, party leaders, and the people of Obanliku for their unwavering support and trust in his leadership.
In his remarks, Hon. Peter Undiandeye congratulated Ayang on his successful election and pledged continued collaboration between Obudu and Obanliku LGAs for the development of the region. He urged the new chairman to focus on grassroots development and policies that will improve the welfare of the people.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, also commended Hon. Ayang for his dedication and leadership, encouraging him to prioritize service delivery and work in alignment with the state government’s developmental agenda.
The thanksgiving service featured prayers, praise sessions, and goodwill messages from various attendees, all of whom reaffirmed their support for the administration of Hon. Sunny Ayang.
