The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. (Amb) Peter Undiandeye, KSM, on Monday welcomed the Chairman and members of the 8th Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Obudu, to his office at the Local Government Secretariat, Obudu.
In his remarks, Hon. Undiandeye expressed heartfelt appreciation for the visit, noting that it will further strengthen the collaboration between the Local Government and the institution. He emphasized that such synergy is vital to enhancing the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.
He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the Federal College of Education, assuring the Governing Council, management, staff, and students of continued partnership. According to him, his administration is committed to prioritizing the welfare of residents by creating a conducive environment for education and business to thrive.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Abdullahi Ahmed, who led the delegation, lauded the Council Chairman for his warm reception and hospitality. He described Undiandeye’s leadership as exemplary and reflective of a proactive approach to governance.
Hon. Ahmed also acknowledged the developmental strides recorded by the Council Chairman within a short period in office and pledged the Council’s readiness to work with his administration to foster socio-economic growth in the area.
Also present at the visit were key principal officers of the institution, including the Provost, Dr. Richard Ugbaha Utubaku; Deputy Provost, Dr. Malam Ishiam; former Dean of Languages, Dr. Ohioro Agu; Dr. Mrs. Bisong; as well as other Council appointees.
