The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. (Amb) Peter Undiandeye, KSM, has extended his heartfelt Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Muslim community in Obudu and beyond as they celebrate the successful completion of Ramadan.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Atuaka Ikwen, Hon. Undiandeye commended the Muslim faithful for their dedication to peace, unity, and nation-building. He emphasized that Ramadan fosters essential values such as love, self-discipline, and compassion, which contribute to the growth of a harmonious society.
“Eid-el-Fitr is a time of thanksgiving, love, and unity. It serves as an opportunity to reflect on the virtues of Ramadan, which instill patience, sacrifice, and devotion to God. I applaud our Muslim brothers and sisters for their steadfast commitment to these values,” the Chairman stated.
He further called on the Muslim community to continue upholding religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect, stressing their importance in the progress of Obudu and the nation as a whole.
“As we celebrate, let us remember to show kindness, especially to the less privileged in our society. The spirit of Ramadan should inspire us to build a more compassionate and prosperous community,” he added.
Hon. Undiandeye reassured the Muslim faithful of his administration’s unwavering support for all religious groups in Obudu, pledging to sustain an environment of peace and development for all residents.
Concluding his message, he prayed for God’s blessings, good health, and prosperity for all Muslims, urging them to celebrate responsibly while adhering to Islamic teachings.
