Following the successful and well-attended thanksgiving ceremony held on Sunday at Bedia Community, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has expressed deep gratitude to God, dignitaries, political leaders, and the people of Obudu for their overwhelming support and participation.
In a heartfelt appreciation message issued on Monday, Hon. Undiandeye attributed the success of the event to God’s unending grace and the collective goodwill of the people. He described the thanksgiving as more than a personal celebration, calling it a communal act of praise to God for His manifold blessings on his life, family, and the entire Obudu LGA.
“With a heart overflowing with gratitude and humility, I give all glory to Almighty God for His unfailing love, grace, and mercies that have sustained us to this point,” he said. “The thanksgiving, which was held in my village, Bedia, is a collective expression of praise to God for His countless blessings.”
The Council Chairman went on to express profound appreciation for the unwavering support he has received from various quarters. He thanked individuals and groups for their financial contributions, physical presence, and spiritual backing, acknowledging that their support played a crucial role in the success of the event.
Hon. Undiandeye specifically lauded the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Apostle Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, and his wife, Her Excellency, Bishop (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for their love, leadership, and commitment to the growth and development of the state. He also acknowledged the presence and support of the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Agbe Odey, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar.
“I am honored to be a beneficiary of your visionary leadership. Your presence and continued support remain an inspiration,” he noted.
The Chairman extended his gratitude to the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem; the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye, his colleagues across the state, members of the State Executive Council, APC Chapter Chairmen, and his political family, mentors, and leaders across Obudu, Cross River North, and the entire state.
“Your belief in me, your counsel, and your unwavering support have played pivotal roles in my journey. I remain forever indebted to each of you,” he added.
Hon. Undiandeye also expressed appreciation to all guests who traveled from near and far to grace the event. He emphasized that their sacrifices and show of solidarity demonstrated a shared commitment to the progress of Obudu and Cross River State at large.
Concluding his message, he prayed for God’s blessings upon all who supported him and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Obudu with humility and dedication.
“Once again, I sincerely thank you for standing with me and for making this thanksgiving celebration truly memorable. May God bless you abundantly, and may He continue to bless Obudu Local Government Area,” he concluded.
