The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb.) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, was part of the Cross River State delegation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South Stakeholders Meeting held in Benin City, Edo State.
The high-level meeting, which had as its theme “Renewed Hope in Action: Strengthening APC Mobilization and Governance in the South-South,” brought together key party leaders, elected officials, and stakeholders from across the six South-South states to strategize on the party’s growth and development in the region.
Leading the Cross River delegation was the Governor, His Excellency, Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, who reaffirmed the state’s unwavering commitment to the ideals of the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting, Hon. Undiandeye, known for his grassroots mobilization and advocacy for good governance, expressed strong support for the APC in Obudu and across the state. He emphasized the need for unity, inclusiveness, and strengthened structures to solidify the party’s hold in the zone.
He also commended Governor Otu for his proactive leadership and described the meeting as timely and strategic, particularly as preparations begin ahead of future electoral contests.
Participants at the gathering reviewed the party’s performance in the region, discussed governance outcomes, and mapped out mobilization strategies aimed at deepening grassroots penetration. Key focus areas included enhancing party cohesion, delivering people-oriented governance, and building on existing successes to improve the APC’s electoral prospects across the South-South zone.
The meeting also served as a platform to evaluate the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with stakeholders pledging to intensify efforts to actualize its objectives in their respective states and communities.
Among those in attendance were serving and former governors, deputy governors, members of the National and State Assemblies, local government chairmen, party executives, as well as youth and women leaders from across the South-South zone.
