The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Ntufam. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has approved the reconstitution of the Local Government Sanitation Committee and the Traffic Regulatory Committee as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen environmental sanitation, enhance public health, and improve traffic management within the area.

According to official statements signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Ikwen Atuaka, the reconstitution of the Sanitation Committee is aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for residents. The committee is chaired by Micheal Ashikem, with Emmanuel Adamu Uba serving as Secretary. Other members include Amina Yusuf, Theodora Alami Ushie, Utam Ignatius Ipah, Abraham Ogar, Adie Moses A, Jeremiah Ushie, Joseph Ashiwobel, Godwin Akashie, Jude Agiabekong, Ogar Paul A, Philip Bute, Richard Ugeh, Adie Cecilia, and Akinde Lawrence Ugbe.

In a similar development, the Chairman also approved the reconstitution of the Traffic Regulatory Committee to strengthen traffic control, ensure road safety, and promote orderly vehicular and pedestrian movement across the local government area. Abuokwen Linus was appointed Chairman of the committee, while Ayeni Charles A will serve as Secretary. Members include Akomaye Peter, McPaul Iyishu, Ogar Patrick Atle, Akunke Godwin, Ugbe Juliana Ishili, Udeshi Elijah Santus, Agba Martins, Igaba Edwin, Akior Francis Unimke, Ugbem Nath Ishubel, and a representative of the Police.
The Chairman congratulated all appointees and charged them to discharge their duties with diligence, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility. He emphasized that their roles are critical to achieving a cleaner environment, safer roads, and improved coordination of activities for the benefit of all residents.
Both reconstituted committees take immediate effect.
