The Special Adviser to the Governor on Obudu Ranch Resort, Mr. Sunday Michael, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, and Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message, Michael described the anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate Nigeria’s resilience, unity and rich cultural and natural heritage, while expressing optimism about the future of tourism in the country.
He used the occasion to inform Nigerians and visitors that renovation and rehabilitation works at the iconic Obudu Ranch are currently ongoing. He said the intervention is aimed at restoring and upgrading key facilities, improving the visitor experience and repositioning the Ranch as a major tourism destination.
According to him, the ongoing works reflect the state government’s commitment to reviving the tourism potential of Obudu Ranch and creating an environment capable of attracting tourists, investors and visitors from within and outside Nigeria.
Michael encouraged Nigerians and tourists to look forward to the renewed Obudu Ranch, noting that its natural beauty, mountain scenery and unique tourism appeal make it an important asset in Cross River State’s tourism landscape.
He commended President Tinubu and Governor Otu for their commitment to national and state development and urged Nigerians to continue promoting peace, unity and patriotism.
