All roads lead to Obudu Council Secretariat this Friday, September 5th, 2025, as preparations peak for the much-anticipated Grand Endorsement Mega Rally in honor of key national and state leaders. The event is being organized to officially declare support for the continued leadership of President Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State, as well as Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, and Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The rally, slated to begin by 10:00AM prompt, is expected to draw an impressive crowd from across the state and beyond, including political leaders, party stakeholders, traditional rulers, youth groups, women organizations, and thousands of supporters from all walks of life.
Described by organizers as a “historic show of unity and commitment,” the event will serve as a platform to reaffirm public confidence in the current administration’s drive for progress, stability, and transformational leadership at both the federal and state levels.
Speaking ahead of the event, organizers called on the general public to turn out in large numbers to show solidarity and support for what they described as a “visionary and people-centered leadership.” The Mega Rally is also seen as a strategic political moment to galvanize support ahead of the 2027 elections.

“This is not just about endorsement; it’s about reaffirming our collective belief in the direction of governance and leadership in Nigeria and Cross River State,” said a representative of the planning committee. “We believe in progress, continuity, and the capacity of these leaders to deliver.”
The event will be heavily attended, with high-profile political figures, community leaders, and party faithful expected to converge in Obudu to make a strong political statement in favor of the Tinubu-Shettima and Otu-Odey administrations.
As the countdown begins, Obudu is already witnessing increased activities in anticipation of what many are calling a turning point rally in the political landscape of Cross River State.
