The Progressive Minded Group (P-MG), Adim, Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, has congratulated Owai Obo, initiator of the group, and other distinguished individuals from Adim on their appointment into the State Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Efut Efut, the group described the appointments as an opportunity for the appointees to contribute their experience and expertise to the party’s campaign coordination, stakeholder engagement and electoral preparations across the state.
Owai Obo, who currently serves as Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Cross River State on New Media, was appointed to the Media and Publicity Committee alongside Hon. Egwu Umet. He has also served on several campaign councils in the same capacity, bringing experience in political communication, digital engagement and media coordination to his new assignment.
As the initiator of P-MG, Obo’s inclusion in the council was also noted by the group as an opportunity to further contribute to public communication and grassroots political engagement.
Other appointees from Adim include Barr. Ernest Owai Ekpe, Monitoring and Evaluation; Barr. Oyono Ekpe and Barr. Okoi James, Legal Committee; Dr. Ofem Ajah, Non-Indigene Committee; Elder Owai Andy and Hon. Prof. Ajah Ekpeni Obia, Elders Council; Hon. Andy Eko, Support Groups; Elder Dr. Ajah I. Ajah, Voters Education; and Samuel Abu Abam, Contact and Mobilisation.
P-MG urged all the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, integrity and a spirit of collaboration, stressing the importance of effective coordination and grassroots engagement as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
The group also called on APC members and supporters in Adim and Biase Local Government Area to sustain unity, strengthen community participation and remain actively engaged in lawful party activities ahead of the elections.
P-MG reaffirmed its commitment to community development and constructive political participation, while wishing all the appointees success in their respective assignments.
