The Mbube Traditional Rulers Council on Saturday conferred a chieftaincy on the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.
The former leader of the Cross River State House of Assembly was conferred with the tittle of LEKWEL E’MBE 1 of Mbube Land, meaning “Pillar of Mbube Land”.
The investiture ceremony which drew a huge elated crowd took place in a grand reception organized by the good people of Mbube in honour of their illustrious son, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.
