Prof. Ivara Esu Attends Funeral/Thanksgiving Service of Late Bishop Sam Inyang

The former Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu, OFR, Saturday 9th December, 2023 attended the funeral service of Late Bishop Sam Unoh Inyang, JP held in Agwagune Community, Biase LGA of Cross River State.


The immediate past deputy governor, while condoling the families shortly after the burial described Late Bishop Sam Inyang as a great man who dedicated his life to serving God and his people with unwavering commitment and integrity, consistently promoting cohesion and unity within Agwagune community and Biase Local Government Area at large.

Prof. Esu prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Late Bishop Sam Inyang’s biography shows that he was born on 30th October, 1939, he attended Church of Scotland Mission (CSM) School, Agwagune and completed same in St Theresa Catholic Church Primary School, Ishiagu and later proceeded to Lagos where he gained admission into the Federal School of Arts and Science to study Agriculture before he took appointment as clerical officer.


Late Bishop Sam Unoh Inyang, JP died at the age of 84 and survived by his loving wife, children and many relatives.
