Work has continued steadily on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 12km Ndok-Abakpa-Igoli-Monaya Junction Road in Ogoja, with asphalt laying now advancing around the Igoli axis

As the project progresses, efforts are being intensified to take full advantage of the forthcoming dry season to ensure timely completion.
Governor Bassey Edet Otu remains resolute in his commitment to completing all ongoing projects across the state while preparing to initiate new ones that will further enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and improve the quality of life for citizens.

According to the contractor and Chief Executive Officer of K-Ton Built Waves Engineering Nigeria Ltd, Engr. Oladayo Kolawole, who was personally on site to supervise the ongoing work, the company remains committed to delivering the project with the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism, a standard that aligns perfectly with Governor Otu’s People-First development agenda.
It will be recalled that following the award of the contract to K-Ton Building Waves Engineering Nigeria Limited, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Peter Odey, on behalf of Governor Otu, flagged off the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Ndok–Abakpa–Igoli–Monaya Junction Road in late 2024. In August 2025, the Deputy Governor also performed the flag-off of the 10km Ndok–Mbube–Okubushuyu Road. Since then, steady and consistent progress has continued on both projects, reflecting the administration’s resolve to open up rural communities and strengthen regional connectivity across the state.
