The Rev. Ben Ugbuji Foundation (RBUF) on Saturday handed over a newly constructed ultra-modern 400 seater-capacity church building to the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Ndok, in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Speaking during the official handover and dedication ceremony, the President of the Foundation, Brigadier General Ben Ugbuji Jnr, said the construction and donation of the church building was part of the Foundation’s vision, which aligns with the mission of the late Rev. Ben Ugbuji, who passed away in 2014. He extolled the virtues of his late father, describing him as a true example of what Christianity should embody.

Represented by the Foundation’s Director of Programmes/Projects, Mr. Modey Ugbuji, Brigadier General Ugbuji noted that the Foundation is committed to sustaining and expanding the legacy of humanitarian and community-based services championed by their patriarch, including improving access to quality education, healthcare, social amenities, sports talent hunt, medical outreach, and support for God’s work.

“Our earnest desire as a Foundation is to support the propagation of the gospel of Christ tothe ends of the earth. That is why we built this 400-seat capacity auditorium here in Ndok after completing the first 300-seater auditorium in Ibil. In the years to come, we intend to expand even further,” he said, urging Christians to continue supporting the work of God.

Dedicating the church, the District Pastor of the Living Faith Church, Minister Emmanuel Ayodele, who preached on the topic “God Still Needs a House,” emphasized that God delights in having a house built for Him. He stated that no one builds for God and ends in shame, describing Brigadier General Ben Ugbuji as “a gift to the body of Christ.”

He further outlined ways Christians can build for God, including strengthening their spiritual lives, contributing to the growth of the church, making voluntary donations, and using their talents in service to God.

In his vote of thanks, the Pastor-in-Charge, Pst. Jeokeff Ahoakhe, commended the Rev. Ben Ugbuji Foundation for transforming the congregation from a temporary worship space into a fully furnished, ultra-modern edifice. He prayed for greater expansion and divine enablement for the Foundation to continue its service to humanity.

Highlights of the ceremony included special prayers for the Foundation, the official handing over of the keys, and the ceremonial ribbon-cutting led by the District Pastor.

The event was attended by clergymen, the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Fred Abua, community leaders, and worshippers, among others.
