The Special Adviser to the Governor on Power, Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpeh, has joined family members, friends, associates, and the entire people of Cross River State to felicitate His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, on the occasion of his 66th birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message, Engr. Nkpeh described Governor Otu as “a visionary leader, a man of deep compassion, and a pragmatic administrator whose transformative leadership continues to reposition Cross River State on the path of progress and prosperity.”

He noted that under Governor Otu’s “People First” administration, the state has witnessed remarkable improvements in power supply, infrastructure renewal, and overall service delivery. According to him, the Governor’s commitment to ensuring reliable electricity across the state has not only enhanced the living standards of citizens but has also stimulated economic activities, particularly in rural and semi-urban communities.
Engr. Nkpeh highlighted the ongoing power infrastructure projects across the three senatorial districts, including the rehabilitation of key power substations, extension of rural electrification networks, and the adoption of alternative energy solutions to strengthen supply reliability. He affirmed that these interventions align with Governor Otu’s broader development agenda of creating a sustainable and inclusive economy.
Beyond power, the Special Adviser commended the Governor for his focus on road construction, healthcare development, educational reforms, and urban renewal projects that are restoring the beauty and functionality of the state’s capital and other local government areas.
He further lauded the Governor’s leadership style, describing him as “a listening leader who governs with empathy, inclusivity, and foresight, ensuring that every Cross Riverian feels the impact of government.”
Engr. Nkpeh prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health for Governor Otu to enable him to deliver more transformative initiatives that will further entrench the state’s growth trajectory.
“As you celebrate your 66th birthday, Your Excellency, we celebrate not just your years, but your enduring legacy of service, development, and humanity,” Nkpeh concluded.
