The Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA) has organised an orientation programme to sensitise key stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccination Campaign.

The Director-General of the Agency, Dr. Vivien Mesembe Otu, emphasised the importance of bringing stakeholders together to engage in collective planning and coordination ahead of the vaccination exercise, scheduled to take place from 3rd to 14th February. She noted that such meetings provide an opportunity to align strategies, address potential challenges, and ensure effective implementation at all levels.

Dr. Otu urged local government chairmen across the state to cooperate fully in order to ensure the success of the campaign. According to her, “The commitment and active involvement of local government authorities are crucial to achieving widespread coverage, strengthening grassroots mobilisation, and delivering vaccines efficiently to eligible children across all communities.”

Also speaking, the State Health Education Officer, Mrs. Nsa Ekpenyong, outlined the objectives of the campaign. She stressed that effective social mobilisation and strong community engagement are key to achieving a successful Measles–Rubella vaccination campaign across the state.
