In a bid to ensure massive registration and active participation of party members in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. (Amb.) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, convened a stakeholders’ meeting in Obudu.

Speaking at the meeting, the Council Chairman commended party leaders and faithful for their unwavering support for the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu; his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey; and the national leadership of the party under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged stakeholders to intensify mobilisation efforts across their respective wards to ensure widespread participation in the ongoing e-registration exercise.
The meeting was attended by notable party stalwarts and government functionaries, including the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi; High Chief Tony Undiandeye; the Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Agnes Atsu; the Commissioner for Industries, Hon. Mathias Agioha; Chief Hon. Martins Orim; former Council Chairman, Hon. Boniface Eweh; Special Adviser to the Governor on Aviation, Hon. Kenneth Akla; and the Executive Secretary of Obudu Urban Development, Mrs. Elizabeth Adie, among several other leaders and stakeholders.

In their separate and unanimous remarks, stakeholders expressed appreciation for the unity, leadership, and generosity demonstrated by the Council Chairman, describing the meeting as timely and strategic. They noted that the initiative would strengthen the party’s internal democracy and ensure a smooth e-registration exercise ahead of the party’s forthcoming congress.
A major highlight of the meeting was the surprise attendance of the Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Agom, who arrived alongside his Central Senatorial District counterpart, Senator Eteng Jones William. At the event, Senator Jarigbe donated ₦10 million, while Senator Eteng complemented the gesture with an additional ₦1 million. The convener of the meeting, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, also donated ₦2 million in support of party activities.
