The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has called on residents to embrace love, unity, and togetherness as they mark this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued to the media on Friday, the Chairman described Valentine’s Day as more than a celebration of personal affection, noting that it serves as a reminder of the deeper bond that unites the people of Obudu as one community.
According to him, genuine love for one another and for the community remains the foundation for sustainable peace, development, and progress. He emphasized that Obudu is blessed with resilient, hardworking, and peace-loving citizens whose collective strength lies in their unity across wards, clans, and political affiliations.

Hon. Undiandeye stressed that meaningful development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and cooperation. He therefore urged residents to renew their commitment to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and collective responsibility, adding that building bridges of understanding is essential for the continued growth of the Local Government Area.
The Chairman further reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to inclusive governance, fairness, and people-oriented policies that promote the welfare of all citizens. He assured the people that the council remains focused on initiatives aimed at strengthening the social and economic fabric of Obudu.
He concluded by encouraging citizens to let love guide their actions, unity shape their decisions, and togetherness define the future of Obudu LGA.
